EPIGAP manufactures high-sensitivity and selective photodiode chips in the spectral range from 150 nm to 1700 nm. Raw materials are only A3B5-semiconductor materials such as GaP, AlGaAs or InGaAs.
The feature of EPIGAP photodiodes is their selective spectral responsivity. The selectivity is realised by integrating filters into the semiconductor material during the growth process. Unlike with silicon photodiodes, there is no need of additional filters.
Often those photodiodes are used in combination with an LED which emits exactly the required wavelength to ensure stray light independent emitter/receiver pairs.
Advantages of the EPIGAP selective photodiodes are:
• No need for additional expensive filter • Good signal-to-noise-ratio • Long-term stability and reliability • Temperature stability
Our photodiode chips are used for
Automotive engineering: Rain sensor Daylight sensor Lane departure warning system
Medical engineering: Fluorescence analysis
Sensor application: Water purification Burner control, flame detection
Safety engineering: Banknote control
