We are producing photodiodes based on SiC- and A3B5-semiconductors. They are mostly narrow band selective in the whole range from 150 nm to 1700 nm. Advantages are the very good signal-to-noise ratio, high temperature stability, low degradation of sensitivity and dark current and an excellent rejection of disturbing wavelengths because of the high spectral selectivity. Normally no additional filters are necessary.
The favourable physical properties of the semiconductors used lead to low dark currents and high linearity ranges of the photocurrent. So the dynamic range is improved.
Photodiodes can be used in measurement and control of all parts of the spectrum. Applications in the blue and ultraviolet are water purification, burner control, ozone monitoring and laser detectors. In the visible range daylight sensors are made with the help of our photodiodes and in the infrared range lane departure warning systems and safety engineering.
